I had the most incredible experience at Planta in Brentwood! From the moment I walked in, the energy was warm, welcoming, and uplifting. I recently made some major dietary changes and was a bit anxious about finding meals that aligned with my new lifestyle. But the staff went above and beyond to make me feel supported and cared for. Ellie D was truly an angel; such a kind soul with the most positive energy. She made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable, helping me navigate the menu and ensuring every change to my order was handled with ease and a smile. You could tell she genuinely cared, and that level of compassion made all the difference. The food itself was spectacular; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt nourishing and intentional. I left feeling full, energized, and so grateful. Planta Brentwood, thank you for creating a space that honors both great food and compassionate service. I'll absolutely be back!

First timer, but this place is fantastic! LOVE the ambiance. The happy hour specials are phenomenal, 2 of us ate a 4 course meal for right around $100, unheard of in LA. We had the crispy rice, nachos with beef added on top, and the vodka pizza which is one of my favorite vegan pizzas to date. We also got the noodles (non spicy ones) and the brownie with ice cream OMG, amazing. Our waiter, cannot remember his name unfortunately, was fantastic. Very attentive and gave great suggestions. Overall, 10/10, will definitely be back!!

have been here a few times and it's some of the best variety of vegan food offered in the area. the place itself has a nice bar and inside seating area. staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions and give great recommendations. parking is a bit tricky, but if you luck out on street parking right in the front it's great. one particular time i've been is this past valentine's day and while they were very behind on getting people sat at the time of reservation placed, they were very honest at the wait times and willing to make accommodations for many guests waiting. we were able to get drinks at the bar while we waited, chatted with other waiting guests, and were regularly updated about our table. the food was quick to come out and our server was great. the party next to us actually fought and caused a bit of scene but the staff handled it so well i had to tell them what a great job they did at handling the chaos of the day. safe to say our dinner AND a show for valentine's at PLANTA will have us returning! HIGHLY recommend the thousand layer potato's and spicy lumaconi

The food was absolutely amazing. I now have been to this location and marinas(dec12 for my bday). Such well designed spaces and feels so cozy and clean. The food was amazing and really beautiful also. Smaller portions but I like that because each time I came I shared a bunch. The broccoli was the only thing that I would say could use less sauce and would have been even better for me. The server really helpful, he was so gentle and on top of things. He gave great suggestions, seemed to keep very positive and patient which is a plus. I was in today at noon he had short brown hair but I can't remember his name. But he was great. And not just because he was handsome, actually enjoyed his service. All around my new favorite spot. I used to go to cafe gratitude but since the quality changed seems like this is a good one and I hope the quality stays consistent. Thank you!

Overall a solid spot to get your fix of creative vegan dishes. Very cute ambiance and it's not overly busy because we got seated relatively quickly for a Saturday night. What we ordered: + Chaga chai: Basically hot coffee with chai but much stronger earthy taste with the turmeric. A good spin on the usual and oat milk optional if you find it too strong. + Crispy mushroom hand roll: 1 each and this was a bit hard to eat without making a mess on your hands. If you like crunchy mushrooms, this is nice but a pass for me. + Spicy salmon hand roll: This is a fun one where you make your own hand roll. It's a February special. + Dragon: My favorite of all the sushi. This tastes the closest to real sushi because of the unagi sauce and I liked the slight chewy texture of the tempura inside. + Pressed & torched: If you like truffle sauce, this is a win but I'm less of a fan of how mushy/soft the rice is. Warm melted avocado is nice though. Parking was easy with street parking or valet. Street parking is metered for $2/hour but you can only pay one hour at a time. Set your alarms if you need more time.

The ultimate deal on vegan sushi is at PLANTA and I had the best meal ever at the Brentwood location! Maki Mondays offers unlimited maki rolls for $29 per person after 5pm. To get this offer, everyone in your party would have to participate. Our party of 3 came specifically for this deal with the biggest appetite for the following 9 rolls offered at this location. Volcano Roll was the first roll that came to our table and the presentation is eye-catching. At first I thought the "crab" was coconut but the menu says hearts of palm. It also contains avocado, cucumber, sesame, crispy sweet potato, and gochujang mayo. https://bit.ly/4fJqiQT Red Dragon Roll is made with carrot "salmon", avocado, and spicy mayo. The pickled watermelon had me a bit puzzled until I realized that it was the watermelon rind. Interesting and I like it! https://bit.ly/4fE6lLm Hawaiian Roll was a nice tropical palate cleanser made with pineapple, avocado, and jicama topped with mango aioli. https://bit.ly/4h0iiMx Crispy Rice was one of my favorites. Great texture on the outside and I'm super fascinated with the texture of "ahi" watermelon. It's as if it's been partially dehydrated. It's magical! https://bit.ly/3BLDpmW Torched and Pressed was another one of my favorites due to the flavorful miso truffle glaze on top of thinly sliced avocado. https://bit.ly/4a5GZVJ Baked Crab Roll has more of that yummy hearts of palm and spicy mayo. https://bit.ly/3PmKmhh Spicy Tuna Roll has more of that "ahi" watermelon that I'm so curious about. https://bit.ly/3PkdwOb Firecracker Roll is filled with Japanese sweet potato and then topped with potato straws. Great textures and additional flavors from the avocado, gochujang mayo, and chili salt. https://bit.ly/3Prj4pS Dragon Roll was very green between the tempura broccoli, spinach, and avocado. https://bit.ly/4gFtcaO In total, our party of 3 ordered 14 rolls! One of each in the menu, then a second order of some of our favorites. Such a deal at $29 per person! By some miracle, we had room for dessert and ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Yum! https://bit.ly/3W7mEJP All I can say is BEST MEAL EVER! Full transparency, service had its slow moments but on the bright side, it gave us time to rest between rolls. Plus, our server was super friendly. Parking was somewhat easy in the residential area behind the restaurant. I'm told that Maki Mondays is also offered at the Marina Del Rey location but the Brentwood location has a larger selection. This is officially my new favorite place for Monday nights!

I absolutely love this place. The food is absolutely fantastic and inventive. They have so many great sushi rolls, pizzas, noodles and small plates. I recommend you try everything. They have some seasonal dishes and excellent happy hour offerings. The prices are quite reasonable and the restaurant decor is very nice. The restaurant is quite large inside and has some outdoor dining tables outside. The staff is always polite and knowledgeable about the menu. This place is a gem!

Came back this winter (December) because I was craving my eggplant Nigiri and I come back to a brand new menu!! So I had my non negotiables, the eggplant nigiri, thousand layer potatoes, but holy moly!!! The Japanese steak!! Japanese steak mushroom dish looks exactly like steak with chimichuri sauce, feels and taste like brisket of some sort.. i was so intrigued! The texture and taste was on point. Really good!! Very full. We ended w cookies and ice cream but I'm coming back to try the other burgers and pizza! Also shoutout to our server kirin for making us laugh and taking good care of us! Great server!
